why do people think installing stop signs will help? more often its not Speed that causes these accidents, its distracted drivers. Lucky777 did you seriously TELL someone else to GO FOR YOU to suggest stop signs? ok, im all for "teamwork" but get to the meeting and propose your fix, dont let someone else get blasted for you idea....... Ok back to the topic. Distracted drivers, take away the scenery, the clean air, and the open space and no one will look a it. they will look straight ahead. oh is that not what you all wanted to hear? well, its a option.

If anyone who attends would like to propose my simple low-cost solution, have at it. Install numerous stop signs along the 154 route. Each one would presumably add a minute to the travel time reported by Waze and Google. As soon as taking the coast is faster than the reported time for 154 half the traffic will take the coast and we'll be back to the way it was 5+ years ago.

And we get to drive on the 154 in order to attend a safety meeting about it! Having the experience be fresh in the minds of the attendees should make the meeting more fun.

Many of us live here already, so bonus! You can always take the 101 and just leave 10 minutes earlier.
