Public Comment Open Santa Claus Lane Bike Path

This is a great safety improvement and will be wonderful for bike commuters, recreational cyclists, and visitors. This path is part of the mitigation for the 101 widening construction that Carp residents have put up with this decade - the pile driving vibration, dust, grit, traffic routed through town due to lane closures, commuters following Google maps racing down local streets to get around the backups, etc. I feel sorry for Summerland and Montecito, which are next to experience the joy. The bike path will be enjoyed by many for years to come, long after the misery of freeway construction fades from memory.
