A fine day in the backyard, visited by a number of nature's creatures. A wild Brush Rabbit enjoys a green breakfast.

This small Warbler (?) comes in with a small flock each afternoon and bathes and drinks by rubbing against leaves and taking the water droplets that I spray in anticipation of their arrival.

The season's first Hooded Oriole  (male) drinks and bathes in one or more of several bird baths.

A Rufous-Sided Towhee surveys the scene.

That rabbit seems to be wondering .... "where are the Easter eggs?"

More like "Where are the Cadbury eggs!?"

That first "warbler" pic is a Bushtit, I believe.

When in doubt, refer to Cornell Bird Lab.--------https://www.allaboutbirds.org/search/?q=bushtit

OP Here: Yes, I also believe it is a Bushtit, but my Audubon Field Guide put some doubt in my mind. Thus, I added the ? for others to weigh in. Thank you.

The Rufous-sided towhee is now back to its old name: Spotted towhee. These are the birds you hear giving that rasping trill. Yes, they're back. I spooked one yesterday that was scratching around under one of my bird feeders. The Spotted towhee is one of our more colorful birds here in Santa Barbara and a particular favorite of mine. To hear their call, scroll down to "California:" -------------------------------https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Spotted_Towhee/sounds
