Highway 101 Restroom Recommendations
By an edhat reader
I'd love to ask about recommendations for restrooms on the 101 Northbound from Goleta to Buellton on behalf of a family member with a medical condition. Given the ongoing Gaviota Rest Area closure, I don't know about any other options.
However, I think there are some beaches along the way which may offer restrooms- do they require paid visitor parking? Are they easy to access? Do they have port-a-potties ? Thanks!

Nov 28, 2022 08:58 AMRefugio or El Capitan campgrounds. Tell the ranger at the entry kiosk you just want to check out the campsites, they may give you a 15 minute pass. Otherwise you'll have to pay day use rates.

Nov 28, 2022 07:50 PMWhen did they resume staffing rangers. I've been in four different ones with just recently Figueroa and the all had camp hosts. They said there is no grace period and if the ranger does show up you will get cited.
