While hiking the Bill Wallace trail 2 days ago, I happened to get a pic of a Bald Eagle, Tag #66.

Does anyone know anything about the tagged Eagle? Curious about where it might live and if there is a tracking program that may like to know about sightings? Thanks!

I didn't see #66 here, how about you just tell us where is was hatched and the latest flight path.

It's possible, considering the photo is not that great, this is tag #68?...if that helps!

Eagles don't perch upside down and if a Peregrine Falcon was bearing down at 200 mph it would probably burn up a tag ;>)

Wing tag K66 is a female and was fledged 7/2/16 at Pinnacle Rock on Catalina. That nest was also used there in 2015. I don't have a current flight path. The last one from a couple of years ago that fledged from the Channel Islands was seen up to Vancouver and back down from here in Santa Barbara for a time.

Dumb Q?
Why does she have two tags?
Would she be off balance with only one?

I've seen these blue tags on several Bald Eagles at the Islands. Probably carries two for symmetry as well as backup in event of a lost one.
