Where can I get information about 5G towers being installed around Santa Barbara? I have had some strange symptoms lately. I was telling a friend and she has heard of others with similar experiences and believes they are related to the new 5G towers.

Complete nonsense. 5G uses non-ionizing frequencies and power levels.

Non-ionizing frequencies can be very damaging. The photochemical reaction that produces thiamine-dimers, damaging your DNA and causing cancer is produced by non-ionizing UV radiation. There is quite a bit of damage that non-ionizing radiation can do to the body. You should do some research.

UV is much higher energy per photon than the frequencies used in 5G. At the levels used in 5G, there is no danger of the type of damage you mentioned.

Judging from a quick google search it appears that there no operating 5G installations in Santa Barbara. The city council rejected Verizon’s application on March 4 2020:

This is just the beginning. The 5G towers will all be in place when Bill Gates injects us all with tracking chips embedded in his Covid vaccine, enabling the jackbooted stormtroopers to know exactly where we are when they jump out of their black helicopters to take away our guns. At night.

SBDUDE: Nice recap of an economy of wacko pathology. I have to laugh at people holding cell phones who worry about tracking chips.

About 15 years ago I asked a German electronics expert (many degrees, highly educated) if cellphones could damage one's brain. His reply was, "No. Not if you make sure that that side of your head is embedded with a lead plate encased in steel."

Electronics experts with "many degrees" and of German ancestry (does that confer legitimacy?) are not neurobiologists. There's zero evidence that cellphones cause brain damage.

holding a cellphone is in no way near having something implanted inside you.
you can't turn your microchip off. or leave it at home.
brains? do you have them?

I'm not so sure about that considering the inane conversations I hear occasionally! Maybe they were always there, but with "cell-phone yell" have just become a public disclosure of limited mental capacity.

According to my neighborhood newsletter , 5G towers were installed on Oceano ave. Some neighbors on the Mesa claim they notice health problems since the installation. Although I am not on a street very close to Oceano, I haven't noticed any difference in any way.

BENE: Clear evidence of "the sky is falling!" There ARE NO 5G towers on the Mesa. Any "health problems" would be completely unrelated. Excitable people are so…excitable.

Rex, I could not agree with you more strongly about the lack of any scientific evidence for harm from 5G, EMFs, etc. Thanks for sharing info that there is no 5G on Oceano. Not that I even care much whether there is or not--I don't have enough interest in the topic to do any research myself. I was simply sharing that more than 25 people posted on my neighborhood newsletter saying it is a fact that 5G is on Oceano, etc. I felt sorry for the person who posted this since I saw a lot of people seeming to make fun of him/her. Wanted him/her to have at least one reply that was trying to be respectful of the posted question.

@EdHat. This post should be removed. Its hysteria based nonsense perpetrated by pseudoscience, charlatans and wackos. Please do not give them any sense of legitimacy by allowing this fictional nonsense to thrive. Some people are easily misled and manipulated. They are special needs. Treat then as such...

I completely agree. Mark my words, these same nutballs will be refusing to get vaccinated for the COVID virus when the vax become available, basing their decision to jeopardize everyone else on some whacko conspiratorial woo-woo. And when will people ever understand that correlation is not causation? "I got X after Y happened" does not mean X happened because of Y. Duh.

hmm and what happens if you look into attempts at all previous coronavirus vaccinations? ""These outcomes are particularly disappointing because the most hazardous hurdle for the inoculation is still ahead; challenging participants with wild COVID infection.

Past attempts at developing COVID vaccines have always faltered at this stage as both humans and animals achieved robust antibody response then sickened and died when exposed to the wild virus.""

Thanks, I'm glad you asked about these towers. There is alot to be learned about 5G. Cities, Counties and even other countries have been halting or pausing the installation. For example just this month, Easton, Connecticut has banned the 5G rollout until research and testing show its safe for humans and the environment. Also as of last February: Mill Valley, CA has banned 5G. The City of Encinitas has barred 5G antennas from being installed in residential zones, park lands and “very high” fire hazard areas. Even other countries like Switzerland have placed moratoriums on this technology until further health studies can show it's safety.

Here are some 5G basics:
• 5G stands for "Fifth Generation" – the next step in the development of wireless technology.
• 5G signals use millimeter and sub-millimeter waves that are easily interrupted and don’t travel as far as the microwaves used for 3G or 4G, so 5G “small cell” antennas will have to be installed in close proximity to homes and apartments.
• 5G antennas will emit a constant stream of radio-frequency (RF) microwave radiation (“wireless radiation”) 24/7, 365 days a year.
• The U.S. government’s human exposure guidelines for wireless radiation haven’t been updated since 1996. At that time, they were designed to protect humans only from short-term heating (thermal) effects.
• There are no studies showing that long-term exposure to 5G wireless signals is safe for people, although there are some studies showing significant harmful effects on wildlife and the environment.
• The primary purpose of 5G is not for better phone service. It's to allow telecom companies to compete directly with cable companies to stream video into your home, and increase the capacity of “smart devices” and machine-to-machine communications - the “Internet of Things” (IOT). There is no truth to the claim that 5G is necessary for public safety.
• Current cellular and WiFi networks rely on microwaves that employ frequencies up to 6 gigahertz (GHz). 5G technology utilizes millimeter and sub-millimeter waves in higher frequency ranges (between 30 GHz and 300 GHz). This technology has not been widely deployed until now, and has not been tested for safety.
• “Small Cell” does not mean small, unobtrusive equipment. It means that every cell provider will hang its own antennae enclosure (up to 6 cubic feet each) on the pole, with other associated equipment (up to 28 cubic feet - the size of a large refrigerator) located nearby.

475 is correct. Also SB did decide, along with countless other cities and counties (and many countries) not to have them installed. Banned throughout Europe as riddle me this batman...if all of these places across the globe are refusing this tech, doesn't that trigger something in your brains to say, hmmmm maybe there is something to this....? Maybe all of these city, county, state, and country leaders are on to something...? Proof is in the pudding folks...

Come with us now to the Twilight Zone, as we travel into a comic book universe; a zone where the stubborn facts of science melt away before unverifiable claims, stuporous fantasy, and outright magic. We'll encounter the classic formula for conspiracy theories, which mixes non-scientific mumbo-jumbo with allegations that governments are hiding the truth, in that fertile mental terrain where fear and distrust of authority meet superstitious folklore.

What is worrisome is that those who dispel every "conspiracy theory" as nonsense don't seem to acknowledge that some prove to be true over time and not just a theory.

Too late - 5g is just icing on the cake of neuron manipulation. We already had fully taken control of your thought processes when 3g rolled out.An entire generation of humans have evolved to be controlled by their devices in less than 20 years Subliminal advertising has been around since the 1950's -but only recently has technology attained the power of evolution it has today.

We discovered that certain frequencies elicited predictable responses and have therefor manipulate the cellular bands to select predictable outcomes of behavior. Your free will is but an illusion encoded by the nanometer wavelengths of happiness we broadcast through your always own devices.

5G only exists to ensure that you vote for Trump again in 2020 as his team was the highest bidder.

I find it sad and rather disheartening that, who I thought to be level headed people of civil discourse, result to name calling, labeling, and shaming, rather than having discussion. There's a lot of - what I call 'marketing' terminology being thrown around rather than conversation and debate. Tin Foil Hat, Covidiot, Anti-vaxer, Libertard. How about we do what Santa Barbara does best and hear each other out. What are the concerns... really. Rather than a knee-jerk political party reply - from either side, what are the concerns? If your neighbors have concerns, if a family member has a concern that is different from yours - do you call them an idiot and write them off as a human being, or do you actually listen and have an adult conversation or agree to disagree and move on? I see the power of 'divide and conquer' happening before my very eyes.

Asimov, my favorite author.

On Edhat, you will get downvotes for saying;

... 'cause it's easier to click the down arrow than give valid reasoning.

Scientific American recently did an article strongly advising a moratorium on 5G until it can be studied more as to its ill effects. The push for this is to enable better facial recognition, better tracking, less privacy for you. Some can insist it is safe but some studies have shown otherwise. There is a reason many are concerned. As for whoever accused ppl who won't take a COVID vaccine of endangering others - poppy cock. If you are vaccinated then you are safe - the only persons they are endangering is themselves and they have a right to refuse a vaccine especially one developed so quickly. .

New 5G towers in Santa Barbara?

Wow NO, that is totally wrong about vaccines. Common but dangerous misconception. Vaccines are only a certain percent effective (very high but not 100%!), and some immunocompromised people cannot take vaccines even if they want to. The outbreaks of measles and other eradicated disease are not only infecting the antivaxxers, they infect the small percentage of vaccinated or immunocompromised people too!! You are NOT only affecting yourself by not vaccinating, you are destroying the herd immunity that protects the vulnerable.

Anyone recall the “smart meter” controversy?

How many people in these past years have died from a smart meter emitting “damaging” frequencies.

Radon, it’s naturally occurring radiation from the soil. Natural. SB is known for some of the highest rates in the country because of the soil composition.
Dud you know the government “safe” Level is equivalent to 200 chest X-rays every year?

Did you know concentration levels are much higher in your home or building that does not circulate the air?

Are you locked at home for Covid? Perhaps it’s the radon not the 5G, since there isn’t any 5G in SB yet. Yet.

How many people are moving away or protest because mother earth is radiating all of us every day here in SB?
