Vehicle Fire at Garden Street Onramp

By Geo Duarte

Vehicle fire on northbound Highway 101 at the Garden Street onramp at 1:30 p.m. Friday.

Non-injury vehicle fire in engine compartment of a vehicle near the top of the on-ramp.

Most of the plastic components of the engine were almost completely melted including the hood of the car.  Also, the windshield cracked from the intense heat of the fire.

Again, there were no injuries reported initially, although the vehicle appears to be a total loss. Hope everyone is okay.

Thanks to Hector and Victor at Santa Barbara Towing.

The Tow Truck drivers definitely need recognition. They always act ASAP and then immediately assist in reopening up the traffic routes. Thank, You, All, very, much.
