A popular Ventura County pizzeria is expanding with plans to open a new location in the coming months.
Magma Pizzeria is continuing its growth in Ventura County with plans to open a second location in Newbury Park.
The new restaurant will be located in the Conejo Gateway Shopping Center at 711 Wendy Drive, just off the Wendy Road exit along Highway 101, marking the company’s first expansion beyond Moorpark.
According to a post shared on Facebook by Magma Pizzeria, the Newbury Park location has been designed to offer multiple dining options, including a spacious indoor dining area and an outdoor patio for warmer weather.
“We are so thrilled and excited to announce that Magma Pizzeria is going to open a SECOND location in Newbury Park/Thousand oaks!” the pizzeria wrote in the post.
In addition, the Newbury Park location will feature a dedicated deli and grab-and-go section offering imported goods from Italy, adding a retail component alongside its restaurant service.
An official opening date has not yet been announced, and the business is expected to share additional details soon.
The overall dining experience is intended to balance sit-down service with faster takeaway options, catering to a wide range of customers.
The Newbury Park location was previously occupied by Pizza Twist and Boba Me. It is located within the Conejo Gateway Plaza, a busy commercial area serving the community.
In addition to daily operations, Magma Pizzeria also offers catering services for private events, including birthdays, weddings, rehearsal dinners, and other gatherings.

Magma Pizzeria first opened in February 2023 at the Moorpark Marketplace, according to the Conejo Valley Guide. Since then, the restaurant has built a steady following for its Italian-style pizzas and familiar menu items, including the Queen Margherita Pizza and traditional sides such as Caesar salad.

In 2023, Magma Pizzeria partnered with Slice, expanding its takeout and online ordering options, including curbside pickup and regular food deals.
The Newbury Park restaurant will mark Magma Pizzeria’s second location, while the original Moorpark restaurant remains in operation.
