Oxnard Woman Arrested for Illicit Narcotics Sales and the Unlawful Transfer of a Firearm

In March 2026, detectives assigned to the Camarillo Special Enforcement Unit (SEU) began an investigation into a suspected dealer of illicit narcotics operating in the city of Camarillo. The suspect was identified as Amy Nicole Trout of Oxnard.

During the investigation, detectives authored multiple search warrants and gained evidence supporting the belief that Trout was dealing illicit narcotics to residents of the city of Camarillo. Based on evidence obtained during the investigation, detectives developed probable cause to arrest Trout for the following violations: California Health and Safety Code Section: 11351 – [ Felony Possession for Sale of a Controlled Substance], 11352(a) – [ Felony Transportation / Offer to Sell / Import for Sale of a Controlled Substance], 11378 – [Felony Possession for Sale of a Controlled Substance], 11379(a) – [ Felony Sale of a Controlled Substance], 11359 – [Possession of Marijuana for Sale] and California Penal Code Section 182(a)(1) – [Felony Conspiracy to Commit a Crime].

Camarillo SEU Detectives authored a search warrant for Trout’s residence, vehicles, and property.

On 05/29/2026, at approximately 1300 hours, detectives from the Camarillo Directed Enforcement Unit (DEU) conducted a traffic stop on Trout’s vehicle and arrested her for the above listed crimes. Shortly after, SEU, DEU, and Camarillo Station Detectives served the signed search warrant at Trout’s residence located in the 5000 Block of S. J Street, in the city of Oxnard.

During the search of Trout’s residence, detectives located cocaine, psylocibin mushroom edibles, marijuana and a loaded revolver not registered to Trout. Additionally, detectives located indicia consistent with narcotics sales.

Based on the newly located evidence at Trout’s residence, she was additionally charged with a violation of California Health and Safety Code Section 11370.1(a) – [Felony Possession of Controlled Substance with Firearm] and California Penal Code Section 27545 – [Felony Unlawful Transfer of Firearm].

Trout was later booked for the at the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility.
