District Attorney Erik Nasarenko announced that Jordan Corrales  (DOB 12/29/01), of Oxnard, was sentenced on March 25, 2026, to seven years and four months in  state prison after being convicted by a jury in two separate cases involving vehicle theft, domestic  violence, and a high-speed pursuit.

In the first case, prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Stephanie Horlick, a member of the  Ventura County District Attorney’s Office Major Crimes Gang Unit, Corrales was convicted on  February 26, 2026, of vehicle theft-related charges stemming from an incident on October 23,  2024.

The victim reported her 2018 Mercedes-Benz stolen from her Oxnard residence.  Surveillance footage showed two individuals entering the vehicle, one of whom appeared to be  wearing a GPS ankle monitor.

The following day, the vehicle was located abandoned at an intersection with significant collision  damage.

Investigators later determined Corrales was on parole and subject to GPS monitoring at the time of  the theft. His GPS data placed him at the scene when the vehicle was stolen, and the vehicle was  recovered approximately 200 yards from his residence.

“We are pleased that the jury reached a swift and decisive verdict,” Ms. Horlick said. “It reflects the  strength of the evidence and the seriousness of the offense. The sentence imposed sends a clear  message that these crimes will not be treated lightly. In this case, upper term was appropriate  given the facts and the defendant’s criminal history, to ensure accountability and protect the  community.”

In a separate case, prosecuted by Senior Deputy District Attorney Rikole Kelly, Corrales was  convicted by a jury on December 16, 2025, of felony evading an officer with willful disregard, along  with misdemeanor counts of vandalism, battery, and resisting a peace officer.

During the early morning hours of December 16, 2024, Corrales forcibly entered the Oxnard  residence where his former girlfriend was staying by breaking down the front door. Once inside, he  confronted the victim and her blind aunt. When the aunt attempted to protect her niece, Corrales  shoved her aside before fleeing the residence upon hearing approaching sirens.

Later that morning, Corrales was located by parole agents and Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies  and led deputies on a dangerous pursuit spanning approximately 15 miles. During the chase,  Corrales drove at speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour, swerved around other vehicles, drove into  oncoming traffic, and ran multiple stop signs and red lights. He eventually abandoned the vehicle  and fled on foot, ignoring repeated commands to stop. Corrales was ultimately located hiding in a  backyard between a shed and a brick wall.

At the time of both offenses, Corrales was on parole and wearing a GPS ankle monitor, which  confirmed his movements.
