Oxnard Man Arrested for Shooting Teenager on Christmas Day

On December 25, 2025, at approximately 9:05 PM, officers from the Oxnard Police Department and EMS personnel responded to reports of a shooting victim in the 600 block of South “A” St.

Officers arrived at the scene and located a 17-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound with life-threatening injuries. Officers provided immediate medical care, and the victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. He was released from the hospital several days later.

Investigators from the Oxnard Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) took over the investigation. Investigators gathered enough evidence to identify the suspect as 24-year-old Erick Ruben Pablo-Aldama.

On January 14, 2026, Pablo-Aldama was contacted at the Oxnard Police Department, and he was arrested for attempted murder.
