A Newbury Park resident was arrested for possessing child pornography.
In the month of September 2025, the East County Major Crimes – Sexual Assault Unit, conducted an investigation into Vincent Pantess possibly communicating with minors with the intent to commit sexual acts. This information was received through a CyberTip through the ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) database.
Through the investigation, Detectives developed probable cause to arrest Pantess for PC 288.3(a) – Contacting a Minor with Intent to Have Sex. On 11/05/2025, Pantess was arrested for the above listed charge, and a search warrant was served at his residence, where multiple electronics were seized as evidence. Pantess was booked at the Ventura County Jail and later posted a $30,000 bond.
In the month of March 2026, Detectives received the data from the electronics seized at Pantess’ residence. A search of the electronics data showed that Pantess was in possession of child pornography. On 04/02/2026, Detectives arrested Pantess for PC 311.11(a) – Possession of Child Pornography, and booked him at the Ventura County Jail. Pantess later posted a $50,000 bond.
