Ventura County Fire Department crews quickly knocked down a working structure fire in the 15400 block of Kernvale Avenue in Moorpark, officials said.
Arriving units reported smoke coming from the attic vents of a two-story, single-family home.

Firefighters mounted an aggressive attack to rapidly control the blaze, then worked on the roof to ensure there was no extension into the attic.
Approximately 40 firefighters responded to the incident. No injuries were reported to firefighters or civilians.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, according to VCFD.
