The Oxnard Police Department, in partnership with the Aaron family, announces funeral services honoring Commander Scott Aaron.
Commander Aaron, who served the Oxnard Police Department since November of 2004, passed away while attending a training course in Orange County. He was pronounced deceased on January 9, 2026. The event will include a church service, a procession to the memorial park, and a graveside interment ceremony.

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026, 9:00 a.m.
New Life Community Church
1251 N. Rice Avenue, Oxnard, CA 93030
Friends, family, members of the public, and neighboring agencies are all welcome to attend.
Guests attending are invited to arrive via Latigo Avenue to Maulhardt Avenue, where they will be directed by staff members on specified parking locations.
For those who can not attend, a livestreamed video of the service will be available for public viewing in real time on the Oxnard Police Department’s YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/oxnardpolice .
Following the church service, at approximately 10:30 a.m., a procession will travel from New Life Community Church to Conejo Mountain Memorial Park in the City of Camarillo.
The Procession Route will be:

Southbound Maulhardt Avenue to Latigo Avenue.

Eastbound Latigo Avenue to Rice Avenue.

Northbound Rice Avenue to the US-101 South.

US-101 South to the Pleasant Valley Road exit.

Southbound Pleasant Valley Road to Pancho Road.

Southbound Pancho Road to Howard Road.

Eastbound to arrival at 2052 Howard Road, Camarillo.
Community members who wish to pay their respects during the procession are encouraged to do so from sidewalks, freeway overpasses, or other safe vantage points. For the safety of all involved, members of the public are respectfully asked not to join the procession in personal vehicles.
The graveside interment ceremony will take place immediately following the procession.

In recognition of Commander Aaron’s honorable service to our nation as a member of the United States Marine Corps, the ceremony will include military honors. The USMC honors will consist of a rifle volley salute, the playing of Taps, and a formal flag presentation.
