Ventura County Fire Department crews contained a commercial structure fire Wednesday afternoon in the 4600 block of Calle Bolero, knocking down flames that originated in a piece of equipment and extended into the building’s ventilation system.
Firefighters were dispatched around 4:15 p.m. on May 13 and ensured all occupants safely evacuated, officials said.
Crews continued checking the ventilation system for any remaining hot spots while ventilating smoke from the building.
Some resources began clearing the scene as operations wound down. No injuries were reported.
