Firefighters from Ventura County Fire Department (VCFD), with assistance from Los Angeles County Fire, are battling a working structure fire in the 900 block of Westcreek Lane in Thousand Oaks, according to VCFD.
Units on scene reported a two-story, multi-family building with smoke showing from a second-story apartment. Fire crews are conducting an aggressive attack on the fire while simultaneously searching the affected apartment and adjacent units to ensure everyone has evacuated safely.

Firefighters are also working to protect exposures in nearby occupancies, VCFD said.
Approximately 50 firefighters are committed to the incident.
Officials did not immediately release information on injuries or the cause of the fire.
