On Friday, May 29, 2026, a DUI checkpoint was held at the 900 block of Marsh Street from 7:30 p.m to 1:00 a.m.
593 vehicles were contacted and no drivers were arrested for driving under the influence.
Two drivers were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed or with a suspended/revoked license.
DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints is to promote public safety through education and by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.
Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the Cannabis Tax Fund Grant Program (CTFGP).
