Firefighters quickly contained a small vegetation fire in the Elfin Forest area of Los Osos on Thursday, March 5, according to CAL FIRE/San Luis Obispo County Fire.
Crews responded at approximately 4:57 p.m., with assistance from San Luis Obispo City Fire.
Authorities initially asked the public to avoid the area and watch for emergency personnel and equipment as firefighters worked to contain the blaze.
By 6:30 p.m., the fire was declared contained. Officials said the burn area measured roughly a 50-by-50-foot spot.
No additional details were immediately released.
