On Wednesday, February 25th at around 3:40 pm, SLOPD received a call about a sedan that hit a car near California and Monterey and drove way.
As officers were going to the location, two additional calls came in that the sedan had hit a car a San Luis Dr. and Johnson, and Foothill and Santa Rosa, and drove away.
Officers located the sedan, that had a flat tire, and the driver, 36 year old Rovasha Underwood, in the parking lot of San Miguel Taqueria on Santa Rosa Street.
Officers found a large number of empty alcohol bottles in the backseat of the car. Underwood was arrested for suspected DUI, three counts of felony hit and run, and misdemeanor possession of narcotics paraphernalia.
During the arrest, Underwood kicked and spit at officers and the charge of battery on a police officer was added.
One of the drivers hit by Underwood was injured and sought treatment at a local hospital.
