Callie Twisselman, a country singer hailing from San Luis Obispo County, will be making her debut at the Grand Ole Opry, the live country-music radio broadcast in Nashville, Tennessee, on December 27, 2025.

Talking about her debut performance in an Instagram post, Twisselman said she had been dreaming of this opportunity her whole life.

“I made a deal with my 89-year-old Grandma some years back, that if I ever played the Opry she would have to come watch,” she wrote in the post.

Twisselman’s grandmother will be flying in an airplane for the first time in more than 40 years to watch her perform on stage, she wrote.

“Dreams really do come true,” Twisselman added.

Earlier this month, Twisselman released the EP ‘Growing in Grace.’

Elaborating about the album in a social media post, Twisselman said the EP is “a combination of songs about my faith, family, and relationships.”

“And through all the struggles, heartbreak and gratitude, one thing is for certain. I’m growing in grace,” she shared.

Raised on her family’s seventh-generation ranch in California, Twisselman was influenced by country living, and learned the value of hard work while taking care of cattle, horses, and competing in rodeos, according to Opry.

Twisselman drew inspiration from her mother’s local touring band and singers, such as Shania Twain, Dolly Parton, and George Strait, the website said.

As a young girl, she opened for Bonnie Raitt and began performing regularly. By 15, she had learned to play the guitar and was writing her own songs.

She went on to play at local fairs and songwriter rounds and created her first band, and recorded her first EP in Nashville.

She moved to Nashville full-time in 2021 and released her debut EP ‘Closure,’ produced by Grammy-winner Aaron Pearce, the same year.

Twisselman has opened for Jelly Roll at his debut Canadian show in St. Catharines, Ontario, and also for Jon Pardi in their shared hometown of Paso Robles at the Mid-State Fair.

She has also performed internationally, including at the C2C Festival in London, two support tours with Willow Avalon and Halle Kearns in the U.K., and The Sound of Nashville in Cologne, Germany, according to Opry.

Twisselman will open for Dolly Parton for her ‘Live in Vegas’ performance on September 17, 2026, the website said.
