A new barbershop has opened in Pismo Beach.

Stay Gold, a men’s grooming and barbering establishment owned by a woman, opened on March 10, 2026, at 1051 Price Street, it announced in a social media post.

While appointments can be made beforehand, Stay Gold also welcomes walk-ins.

As a promotional offer, the barbershop announced on Instagram that the first 15 clients would get a free gift.

It also has an ongoing free giveaway offer, where clients can win free haircuts for a year. The winner will be announced after Stay Gold achieves 500 followers on Instagram.

The barbershop is owned and operated by Bonnie Weber, according to a KSBY report

Weber, also known by the nickname ‘Dope Fader,’ is a second-generation hair stylist who has been working on the Central Coast since 2016, according to an Instagram post. She specializes in skin fades, classic men’s cuts, mullets, artistic clipper styles, and hair coloring.

She will be available at the shop for limited appointments only.

More New Businesses Openings in San Luis Obispo

Earlier this year, SLO Thrift opened a 5,000 sq. ft. space at 445 Higuera Street in San Luis Obispo. Focusing on reuse and affordability, the thrift store offers secondhand clothing, home goods, books, and other donated items, all sourced from community donations.

SLO Thrift’s space was earlier occupied by the Wilshire Hope Chest, which closed several months ago after filing for bankruptcy.

In January, San Luis Obispo added a new western wear store in the downtown area. Salinas Charreria & Western Wear opened its third retail store at 716 Higuera Street.

The store offers a wide variety of western and charreria-inspired clothing and accessories, including boots, belts, wallets, hats, and bags. The store also has footwear options for children and infants.

Hardware store Miner’s Ace Hardware announced in an Instagram post in February that it will be opening a store in Paso Robles and is currently hiring.
