In Atascadero, a new coffee shop, Binx Coffee, opened its doors on May 6 at 6090 El Camino Real, Suite A.

The family-owned and operated coffee shop offers coffee, matcha, energy drinks, and homemade cream sodas.

Their specialty drinks include a lavender matcha alongside a honey-rosemary latte. Their menu also includes drinks like a strawberry cream latte and a caramel coconut latte, among others.

The cafe also features pastries from Wendy White’s bakery, like cookies, muffins, and croissants.

The Atascadero community appears to have responded positively to Binx Coffee so far.

According to an Instagram post from the cafe, the demand was so high during one day of their ‘soft opening’ week that they had to close early.

“We are so overwhelmed by the amount of support we have already felt from the community to our soft opening week.” Binx Coffee’s post read. “Thank you, everyone, for supporting our family business.”

One Atascadero resident, who had visited from Binx Coffee, told KSBY that he enjoyed his drink at the cafe and that he was happy to see another coffee shop opening, as he has seen many close in the area.

The couple received the keys to the building that would become Binx Coffee back in January. which was a defining step in their journey. The duo could now put the vision they had for their cafe to life.

Their Instagram account meticulously documents the journey. From unveiling the Binx Coffee logo and painting the shop to stopping by vendors to get ingredients for their recipes, and finally to the cafe’s opening, the couple offers a look into the process of how Binx became what it is today.
