Greenhouse Fire in Nipomo Requires Extensive Firefighting Effort

Firefighters battled a commercial structure fire involving a greenhouse in Nipomo Tuesday evening, deploying more than 2,400 feet of hose to establish water supply and contain the blaze.

The fire broke out before 7 p.m. on June 16, 2026, in the 600 block of Eucalyptus Road, according to CAL FIRE.

Crews worked actively to contain the fire at the commercial greenhouse property. Authorities asked residents to avoid the area to allow emergency personnel room to operate safely.

By 8:45 p.m., the fire had been knocked down and crews remained on scene picking up equipment, including more than 2,400 feet of hose that had been laid to establish the water supply—an indication of the significant firefighting resources required to combat the blaze.

There has been no report of any injuries or information on the cause of the fire. The extent of damage to the greenhouse structure has not been released.
