A suspected DUI driver was arrested early Friday, April 3, after crashing into a parked truck on the 2100 block of Johnson Avenue in San Luis Obispo, according to San Luis Obispo police.

A resident reported hearing a wreck around 1:15 a.m. Patrol officers and San Luis Obispo City Fire Department personnel arrived to find a Toyota pickup had collided with an unoccupied white truck.

Police said the driver was not injured and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Photos shared by police on social media show a newer gray Toyota Tacoma with front-end damage after striking an older white pickup with a camper shell.

Police reminded the public: “Don’t drink and drive.”
