Arroyo Grande Police Department Investigates Major Injury Collision

On April 8, 2026, at approximately 7:48 p.m., Arroyo Grande Police Department officers were dispatched to a report of a traffic collision involving a motorcycle and two other vehicles in the 1100 block of W. Branch St.

When officers arrived on scene, they immediately rendered aid to the injured motorcyclist until Emergency Medical Services arrived. The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital with major injuries, where he remained in serious, but stable condition.

The drivers of the other involved vehicles remained on scene and were cooperative with the investigation.
 
The cause of the collision is currently under investigation. Drugs and alcohol are not suspected as factors in the collision.
 
The Arroyo Grande Police Department would like to thank the Grover Beach Police Department, the California Highway Patrol, Five Cities Fire Authority, San Luis Ambulance, and Arroyo Grande Public Works Department for their assistance in this incident.
