Recommendations for best SB Santa? Does anyone know whether the La Cumbre Santa will be the same as last year?  Did anyone else have a negative experience with him last year?

Is there a Santa in town that you would recommend this year?

The Carpinteria Historical Museum has a good Santa at their annual "Marketplace Holiday Crafts Faire" on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 24th, 10am-3pm. Santa sits outside under a big oak tree with Mrs. Claus to assist. Very casual.

I have had nothing but good experiences with the santa at la cumbre, for the past 4 years. plus NO one goes to la cumbre to shop, so there is NO one there!

You know Santa gets old too he's been around for along time he's bound to have some aches and pains OK with me if Kris pounds alittle vodka....

There's a new holiday movie coming out for atheists. It's called "Coincidence on 34th Street."

Last year early in the season Santa had a knee injury unrelated to his duties and he carried on in spite of the pain trying not to disappoint his young visitors.

I have been taking many kids to La Cumbre Plaza for decades and have never encountered any problems. Except by impatient parents!

Every year for a very long time - Paseo Nuevo. You enter Santa's house,, child sits on his knew, then parents to. All photographed, you proof the shots, then you either purchase printed photos, or the thumb, or nothing if not satisfied. Affordable, and excellent quality.

OP - did your kids enjoy the magic of the holiday season despite having to cut short their bouncing on an injured man's knee?

UPDATE: Based on our ruined Christmas last year, we changed to Paseo Nuevo this year. And guess what? He sucked too!! My kids asked about his sleigh and he gave them the “reindeer in the headlights” look. My wife and I think he may have been drunk. Anybody have ideas on how to fix this problem for the future? What’s it take to get a decent Santa in this town??

Christmas is close to being rescinded entirely - no more Christmas break or paid days off either. So wait it out. There will be no more Santa at all next year.

SB SINCE 2014- how about focusing on the spirit of the holiday instead of griping and moaning about the quality of local Santas. Poor kids.

Op how about you volunteer to be Santa next year so you can do it "just so" ... sheesh!
