Can someone recommend a place (music program, school, etc.) where I can donate my guitar where it would benefit kids or teens who are interested in music?

Lol, this is top of the page "local news" I know you said this site was a work in progress but I'm not seeing any progress. Please at least change the comments to scroll from first to last. That should be easy. Maybe there could be another section for guitar donations besides local news.

I stand corrected, sorry; that just hides them.

Hi Middle Ground, on the old edhat site the latest question or news item was always at the top of the list. In regards to other design elements, these are still a work in progress as we're working on tackling bigger items first. Thanks for your understanding and feedback! Feel free to email us at [email protected] with any further questions.

Please donate to Franklin elementary on East Mason street! The Principal there is Mrs. Kilgore, and she is doing a great job keeping Music a big part of the school and making instruments available to low-income students. I've had two great students come out of there and my last child still attending, so I know sometimes we don't have enough funding going to the school. Thanks for your generosity!

Girls Rock Santa Barbara is another good option for donating your guitar. It's a 501c3 group. Their website is girlsrocksb.org and their phone number is 699-5247.

Wow, Middleground! One of my points to Edhat, regarding the new site was that 'referral' or community questions were no longer on the main list of current inquiries. That's a huge part of what this site is about. Thankfully, they pointed out that if I went to "Local News" that all post would be listed in order received. Stay on the home page if you don't want to be bothered with the questions of neighbors - that's not to be snarky, just a suggestion. I know a lot of us enjoy helping each other out with references and suggestions. I also echo ed's advice to email them with any suggestions regarding the new site. They have been incredibly responsive to any feed back.
