I'm looking for a recommendation for a Food Truck for a non-profit organization event. It's not a huge event - not Lemon Festival or Avo fest size - so it would need to be someone who is ok with that. Thanks!

If this city wouldn't regulate the living hell out of food trucks to the point where they are driven out of town, then maybe we would have more and better options. Pfffft! This city.

Check out "Neighbor Tim's BBQ". He has a great rig and does some fantastic smoked pork and brisket sandwiches amd plates with all the fixins!

I second Neighbor Tim's BBQ! I was absolutely blown away by the tender and flavorful brisket. Good freakin' BBQ!

We used The Ranch Guys for an event in Goleta and it worked out really well. The Street Taco plate with homemade salsa and guac was quite good. They are affiliated with Recovery Ranch in Santa Ynez.

OP here - Thanks for the suggestions. I reached out to 805Streetbites and then googled Mony but was unsuccessful in getting contact info. Does anyone have a phone number or website for them?

I thought the City had effectively ordered all the food trucks out of town?

Thank you, THEREALBEBE. I guess the idea is if there are enough restrictions, the food trucks will just go away, making the local restaurateurs happy. I certainly do miss the banh mi sandwiches from the O Street food truck.

Rex, I believe the city instituted strict guidelines on hours of parking/operation/things like this, that pertained to food trucks operating randomly in neighborhoods. I think that if you are actively hiring a food truck to cater for a specific event, the rules are either significantly different or don't apply.

Burger Bus has left town, sadly.

Mony's food truck is the most fully equipped and super sanitary food vehicle we have ever worked on, much better than the vans on The Great Food Truck Race

Try 805 street bites! They are new and they are good.

I second Mony's - outstanding food and the family could not be nicer!

Romanti-Ezer on corner of Chapala and Ortega Streets has a food truck. Their food is amazing... Also the Burger Bus is quite popular, and I could personally recommend Mony's down in the funk zone. Amazing food, family recipes, family owned and operated. Food truck service on weekends.
