Wrong Emergency Notifications?

Myself and several others received midnight alerts and phone calls to evacuate immediately from the fires in Ventura County. It’s over 60 miles away from where we live. I’ve never signed up for alerts in that area and have never lived in that area. 

Was this a glitch in the system? If so, that’s very concerning considering a lot of people were not notified of the Goleta fire this past summer.
