Woman Rescued from Rising Tide at Goleta Beach

Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to an ocean rescue at Goleta Beach on Tuesday.

At 2:10 p.m. crews responded to the area and discovered a 60-year-old female clinging to the rocks above the ocean waves as she was caught by the rising tide and waves.

A citizen had noticed the woman in distress and called 911. They assisted her to safety with fire personnel.

Emergency response to Goleta Beach for a reported water rescue. 

Scanner traffic stated a swimmer is struggling off the coast, or something about a cliff. Santa Barbara County Fire Department is responding.
