Woman Pled Not Guilty to Fatal DUI Collision

Santa Barbara County District Attorney Joyce E. Dudley announced today that felony charges have been filed against Sheri Ann Craig, 51, a resident of Port Hueneme, California, in connection with the August 24, 2018, traffic collision that killed one passenger in her vehicle and injured the other.

Ms. Craig is charged with two felonies; one count of vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, in violation of Penal Code § 191.5(b); and one count of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs causing injury, in violation of Vehicle Code § 23153(f).

She appeared on August 29, 2018, at 8:30 a.m. in Dept. 9 of the Santa Maria Superior Court and entered a not guilty plea.

The matter is set for Preliminary Hearing Setting in Department 6 of the Santa Maria Superior Court on August 30, 2018. She remains in custody with bail set at $100,000.
