An adult female driver was pronounced dead at the scene of a single-vehicle crash Tuesday evening on Highway 166 westbound near Rinconada Ranch, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
The collision was reported at about 6:44 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14. A three-year-old child who was also in the vehicle was transported by Santa Barbara County Fire paramedic unit RA27 to Marian Medical Center.
No updates on the child’s condition were immediately available.
No further details about the cause of the crash or the identities of those involved were released.
Officials urged motorists to drive cautiously.
