A vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer on Highway 101 northbound at Palmer Road, southeast of Orcutt on Wednesday, March 11.
The collision took place just after 7:00 a.m. amid heavy fog, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
Fire officials said the vehicle’s sole occupant, a woman, sustained moderate injuries and was transported by ground ambulance to Marian Regional Medical Center.
The tractor-trailer driver was evaluated at the scene and did not require treatment.
Authorities urged motorists to use caution during foggy conditions, drive with low-beam headlights, and slow down.
