Wow! We received hundreds and hundreds of entries to this contest, which has to be our most popular one yet. Plus, it’s the last 2 tickets for this sold-out event.

Sunstone Winery 2017 Viognier SYV $37
Zaca Mesa 2015 Pinot Noir HC $48

The average of these 14 randomly selected bottles of local wine is $42.07.

We received 6 entries that were within one dollar, but we also received an additional three entries that all tied for the closest price. Three people guessed $42 and they were Soundmaker, jzpr_info, and Katie2468.

The edhat staff thought of very creative ways to determine how to break this tie: wine chugging contest, wine bottle jenga, who could name the most varietals of wine off the top of their head. But we decided it was safer to put the three names in an edhat hat and pull out one winner. So… congratulations to Soundmaker for guessing one of the closest amounts and for being the lucky one drawn!

Thanks to everyone who played!

Everyone knows this is one of the best festivals in town, nestled along the banks of Mission Creek. Winemakers, bakers, chefs, and musicians will be sharing their products and talents under local oak trees. So let’s get to it. The edhat reader who guesses the closest price by Friday, June 29th at noon, will be the winner of 2 tickets to this premier sold out event.

“But that average price could be anything!” Good point, but we’re only selecting local wines, meaning wines that are cultivated and/or produced in Santa Barbara County. And maybe some will be featured at the festival. Enter your guess below for a chance to win!
