A 2012 White Dodge Ram was stolen from El Rio Market, near the Ace Hardware in Santa Ynez, this morning around 6:30 AM. Two firearms are inside the vehicle.
It’s unknown what direction of travel the vehicle went in, but the driver left the truck running while they went inside. When they came outside, the truck was missing.
The only description is a 2012 White Dodge Ram Truck plate possibly 29471N1. Noted heavy police presence on the southbound side of Highway 154 if they anticipated the driver was coming to SB.
The law states that when being transported in a vehicle, guns must be unloaded, secured with safety locks, then locked in a case, and stored away from the passenger compartment. So in the trunk, NOT the glove box. In the case of a van/truck, must be stowed so as to not be readily accessible or visible. Ammo must be stored separately. This guy broke all those, apparently, and SHOULD lose his gun privileges AND be charged accordingly if these are used in the commission of a crime. Unbelievable.

Just because this incident happened near the El Rio market does not mean the perp was Mexican. Wow. As soon as all you lefties and righties can start working together again a lot of the nonsense will go away.

I don’t know what’s worse. Someone with no moral compass in possession of 2 stolen guns or the so called “good guy with a gun” who leaves his guns unlocked in a truck left running and unattended in front of a liquor store. I miss the good ole days when the NRA was for gun safety not promoting the privilege of mindlessly careless individuals.
Remarkably similar to the gun stolen from a fed agents car, and then used to murder Kate Steinle in the safe sanctuary city by The Bay….San Francisco. Sanchez will probably walk since he is a guest in our country. If you think what happened to Kate was bad, then you are considered a racist gun nut.

Exactly. This kind of thing should go on a record or database and prevent this truck owner from ever buying guns in the future. Of course, the NRA will not take any responsibility, just blame the criminal for stealing the guns that were in a running truck……

People who are born here or have legally immigrated here are not “guests,” they are “citizens” or “residents,” meaning this is there home Nor are we “guests” on this earth. A “guest” is “a person who spends some time at another person’s home in some social activity, as a visit, dinner, or party.” (Dictionary.com). “ANOTHER” is the key word here. It means you are at a home or place that is not your own, meaning you have your own home somewhere else. So, for all these folks who think we are merely “guests” here or “guests” on this earth, please tell me where our home is? If it’s not here, then where is it?
