Where to Recycle Copper?

Question & Answer (Edhat)

Where is the best place in Santa Barbara to recycle copper pipes?

I had the water pipes under my house replaced and the old ones are made of copper. I’d like to recycle them for cash if that’s possible. And will a recycling center take other metals as well?

  1. Santa Barbara Iron & Metal will give you next to nothing for your copper. If you ever make it down Ventura way or maybe even L.A. you’re sure to get more money. Maybe do a little online search first? —————- SBIM also takes all kinds of other metals, including old galvanized pipes, metal fixtures, metal furniture, aluminum + aluminum cans, etc We’ve taken loads of metal pipe to recycle there over the years, pounds of old galvanized pipes, some copper and so on —– and received cash reimbursement in the amount of $1.19, 48¢, 29¢ —— just so you know.
