What Happens After Power Gets Cut?

I’m watching the video on KEYT and noticing the flames are getting really close to power lines and transformers in the hills. If the transformers blow up, I heard that all of Santa Barbara could be without power for a week or more.

A lot of us in Santa Barbara and Goleta were without power for several days when Ventura was affected.

Does anyone know if that’s true? Would the outage extend into Goleta? How long would we be without power?
