Does anyone know what the meaning of numerous trees in front of Mesa Shopping Center that are tagged with these markers.
Some of the trees are palms but not all. The tags are also on trees going down Cliff Drive.
What are these Tags on Trees?

Tree inventory, probably by the City. Maybe related to the major upcoming Cliff Drive project.
Perhaps the tagged trees are all going to get touched by a big chain saw soon. Grrrr.
Call 805-564-5435. Brett Volpi is one of the city tree inspectors. He seems invested in maintaining our urban forest. Ask Brett if he knows what’s going on with the tags. (Only ignorant jerks hammer nails into trees; palm trees or otherwise.)
