Weekend Closure of Seacliff Ramps on Highway 101

Caltrans announced a 59-hour weekend closure of Seacliff off and on ramps on southbound Highway 101 in Ventura County from 7 p.m. Fruday, Sept. 23, until 6 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26, for pavement rehabilitation. Motorists can expect delays.

In addition to ramp closures there will be the following overnight closures of the southbound U.S. Highway 101 lane on the coastal side from Museel Shoals to Faria Beach.

  • 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23 until 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24
  • 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24 until 9 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 25
  • 10 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25 until 6 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26

One southbound bypass lane and two northbound lanes will remain OPEN overnight. Two lanes in both directions will be open during the day.

Motorists traveling south can reach state beaches on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH/State Route 1) by continuing to the Main Street off-ramp in Ventura, U-turn to northbound U.S. Highway 101 and exit at the State Beaches off-ramp. La Conchita residents traveling south can use the same route but continue north on Highway 101.

The Seacliff ramps and southbound lane closures will be repeasted three more weekends, with one scheduled for Friday, Sept. 30, to Monday, Oct. 3

Why would you close the ramps on the weekend at their busiest time ? youve really got to figure that ou.t And then pay the employees overtime to work on the weekends.Tthis is politically motivated (something that doesn’t make sense at all )what a r S**T show , has been this wayfor years Caltrans they’re probably going to buy some Tesla trucks that are self driving so they don’t have to bother.
