Water Release Underway at Lake Cachuma

An annual water release at Lake Cachuma has begun to help downstream users including farmers. It will last at least two months and travel all the way to Lompoc. The lake level will drop and estimated 10 feet.  

Along the way, it will fill underground wells and help farmers manage their water needs.

Residents are also enjoying the flowing Santa Ynez River through Solvang during the current heat wave.
