Today Washington School is flying the flag at half-mast, however, it is upside down. Does anyone know if this is on purpose or if it is a mistake?

Sorry, no, Curmudgeon, flag etiquette is to fly the flag at haf-mast, but not upside down, on Pearl Harbor Day.
Some people may think we are in trouble, but it is not the place of an elementary school principal or custodian to make that decision. I am giving the flag raiser the benefit of the doubt, but it is still an unconscionable error to me.
Upside down flag represents the US in trouble….and we sure are.
According to the United States flag code, “The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property.”
Today is December 7. Flag upside down signifying distress for the attack on Pearl Harbor.
Seems to me I learned flying the flag upside-down was only for dire emergency situations. Does Washington Elementary staff not know this?

People who claim the U.S. is in trouble and they are proud of it are cowards. You’ve heaped all your guilt, self-pity and cognitive dissonance on a President you don’t like. As if others don’t see it. We see it. We can tell who he is and where he’s from. We just react differently. But you? Completely swallowed up by the delusion designed to mislead you and your softened mind. As you chitter and chat irrational fears, you react as a child in the dark, scared and calling out for like-minds. Some type of approval. “Is it safe? Is the monster still here?” Yes. The monster’s in your head. You’re the monster. Yet, the world turns and the truly evil continue to systematically reap the rewards of your cowardice. So go ahead… Keep your head tucked safely under your pillow.

Did anyone call the school? The custodian might have thought he-she was correctly honoring Americans attacked at Pearl Harbor; or was half asleep when raising it.
So now it’s out fault “Poor Little Pity Pot” is crying in the White House? Poor little Snowflake supporters are crying right along with him now BaaaaaHAAAAAHAAA! If there is one thing I have learned through this whole experience SATAN is Cool! I did not vote for either one…Ha,ha,ha,ha….The Country is in deep crap and I hold my head high unafraid of the true cowards of this country and their whiney little ways!
