On September 26, 2025, at approximately 5:11 p.m., Santa Maria Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of North McClelland after observing a wanted subject with an outstanding warrant.
Officers contacted 18-year-old Clara Kahn, a Santa Maria resident, who was confirmed to have the warrant. During the investigation, officers located a loaded shotgun inside the vehicle. Kahn was taken into custody on the warrant and for a weapons violation. She was later booked into custody.
Several males who were also in the vehicle were identified and released at the scene. The case has been forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
