A Guinness Book of World Records attempt for backwards walking could be set this Sunday in Santa Barbara.

The record now is 1107.  Organizers are looking for about 2000 people to join the effort after the State Street Mile run. A $5.00 contribution is requested for the District Attorney Criminal Victims Assistance Fund.

There is a guy Plennie Wingo who walked around the world backwards the early 1930's. I first learned of him at Ripley's Believe it or Not. I saw him in Santa Barbara in the 1980s doing it again. Who gives a rats keester about a record like this? Really!

I'm amazed the Guinness folks have stooped this low where if you can think it they will create a record for it & send a representative to authenticate. What a gig!
