Vista Del Monte Closing Skilled Nursing Unit

Vista Del Monte sent a letter to residents on November 14 announcing that they will transfer all skilled nursing residents to Valle Verde, or “a care center of your choice” by March 2018.

They will convert the skilled nursing facility to additional memory care rooms. This means that Vista Del Monte is no longer a true continuing care facility guaranteeing that couples can stay together in the same location as their needs change.

Their website has not been updated with this new plan, so anyone considering the move to assisted care for themselves or others should take this into consideration.
