These images are heartbreaking. They sink me into that dark abyss of day one. I wish someone could purchase the path of the mudslide and create a community garden/open space as a public memorial to honor the victims.

Yes a public open space/memorial would be an appropriate use, and one that might prevent having to memorialize future debris flow victims. These areas are simply unsafe for housing, especially as there is virtually no way to warn residents in the path of impending destruction.

Wow, it doesn’t look much different from day one. I wonder, will people rebuild the homes that are inches from the creek? Seems like a bad idea.

I can only recognize a couple of locations; a building with green tile roof that I believe is on Ashley Rd below E. Mountain and I think the arched stone bridge is in Rivenrock. The magnitude of the devastation makes it really hard to tell what is what. The images are painful, but thank you for posting them.
