Santa Maria Police investigate a shooting which sent an adult male to the hospital with critical injuries.
On Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at about 11:23 A.M. officers were sent to the area of Donovan and Broadway regarding a shooting which had just occurred.
Officers arrived on scene quickly locating evidence of a shooting which occurred near an open business.
All parties involved were gone upon arrival. Shortly after, officers located an adult male victim who was transported to the hospital by private vehicle.
The victim sustained at least one gunshot wound and was in critical condition.
The investigation was turned over to Santa Maria Police Department Detective Bureau and Crime Lab. This shooting occurred during a busy time of day and Detectives believe there are witnesses who may have additional information.
