The Coroner’s Bureau is releasing the name of the decedent from the vehicle accident on 10/4/21 on Hwy 101 near Arroyo Hondo. The decedent is 51-year-old Shawn Lyle Osborn of Santa Barbara.

A fatal traffic collision took place near Arroyo Hondo on Monday morning.
Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to Highway 101 northbound at Arroyo Hondo in Gaviota for a traffic collision.
Crews discovered a single-vehicle collision with a single occupant who was deceased. Heavy extrication was required by responding personnel.
The cause of the collision is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
