Incident: Robbery with Arrest

On August 22, 2025, at about 10:15 am, the Ventura Police Department Communications Center received a 9-1-1 call from a concerned citizen reporting that someone had just been robbed near the intersection of Sunnyway Drive and North Ventura Avenue.
Patrol officers responded and learned that the victim was approached by a male suspect who demanded his wallet. When the victim did not produce a wallet, the suspect punched him in the face and stole personal property before fleeing the area on foot. The victim sustained minor injury but declined medical attention.
After an initial search of the surrounding area, the suspect was not located. However, officers continued their efforts and eventually located an individual matching the suspect’s description several blocks away approximately two hours later. The officers detained Felipe Aparicio and he was subsequently identified as the person who committed the robbery. The victim’s stolen property was recovered and returned to the victim.
Felipe Aparicio was arrested for robbery and was booked at the Ventura County Jail.
