On the above date and time, fire units were dispatched to a reported investigation of an oven that caught fire.
Firefighters arrived within 7 minutes of dispatch to find a kitchen fire in a wo-story residential apartment complex that the occupants and property managers were unable to extinguish with fire extinguishers.
Additional resources were requested from the first arriving Engine Captain because of the existing fire conditions.
Due to a quick and aggressive attack on the fire from first arriving units, firefighters were able to limit damage and stop the further spread of fire into the apartment.
No civilians or firefighters were injured because of the fire, and no additional structures were threatened or damaged.
As a reminder, ensure that working fire extinguishers are readily available in the kitchen and carbon monoxide-smoke detectors are placed in the residence to alert occupants.
