On June 3, 2026, at around 1:20 p.m., the Santa Barbara Police Department and emergency medical services responded to a traffic collision at 700 W. Mission St.
A single vehicle traveling eastbound collided with a parked car, causing it to lose control and flip onto its roof. The car came to rest in the middle of the road, blocking traffic.
The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle. Santa Barbara Fire Department personnel assisted the female driver in exiting the vehicle. She was transported to Cottage Hospital as a precautionary measure for evaluation.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
